As part of Amnesty UK's Rise Up Programme, I have begun my 'Teach Queer History' campaign. The aim is to push policy makers for schools to have a truly inclusive curriculum that includes teaches LGBTQI+ teaching.

Painted statues as part of performance art outside of St James' Park, whilst the Schools North East curriculum conference took place inside; knowing that they won't have been discussing the lack of Queer History in their lesson plans.

Each statue represents the type of historic figure we don't learn about in schools. They are nameless, as they have been erased from history, only to have focus on the history that our system deams to be important.
